Notice for EGS course participants

1. Method of file distribution
Following 3 methods will be employed. 
Please select method and prepare necessary things.

i) USB Flush Memory (2004-07-28 Updated)
This is for Win 2000, XP. You do not need to bring flush memory.
(USB memory can be used on Win98 only when its driver is installed. 
Win98 user must install driver and bring USB memory of 64 MB or lager.)

ii) CD-ROM
CD-ROM drive is necessary.

iii) Connecting to KEK-PC via switching hub
KEK-PC and switching-hub will be placed in course room.
You can connect your PC using Ethernet cable.
Your PC must have capability to connect Ethernet.
Also, IP address must be changed to 192.168.1.* (* is port number of switching hub) and subnet musk must be changed to 255.255.255.0. 
(Please memo original setting.)
User account and its password which is allowed to change these are necessary.

Please prepare hard disk space of 0.5 GB.

2. On install of cygwin (MOST IMPORTANT)
Please do compilation of sample program using g77.
Without this, egs5 will not run on your computer.
Please notify me in the case that you could not install cygwin.
