第６回ＥＧＳ４研究会は、８０名以上の参加で成功裏に終了しました。
例年同様、若い方の参加で非常に活気のある研究会になりました。
講習会に参加されたみなさんが、ＥＧＳ４を自分の研究手段として活用し、次回
以降の研究会で成果を発表出来るように成ることを期待しています。

研究会に参加された方には、既にお知らせした様に、来年度の研究会は「国際
 会議」とします。ＥＧＳ４の著者の内、Rogers は、他の国際会議の関係などで
出席できないと思いますが、SLAC の Nelson と NRCC でＥＧＳ４の改良を実際に
担当している A.F.Bielajew は出席します。日本でこれまで行ってきた研究会が
国際的な規模で開かれる事になりますので、みなさんの研究成果を是非、発表

        FIRST INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON EGS4

   This is the official call for papers for the First
International Workshop on EGS4.

   From 1990, an EGS4 users' Meeting in Japan havs been held
at KEK once a year.  This Meeting has been very useful for 
the exchange of information amongst researches which use EGS4 
as the tool in the various fields.   The proceedings of this 
meeting have been requested from all over the world.  
For several years it has seemed desirable to hold this kind of
meeting internationally.   Given the wide distributions
of EGS4 users in various fields, this international meeting
will offer a vary useful opportunity to exchange information 
about EGS4 itself and researche related to EGS4.  
The organization committee decided to have the first Workshop
at KEK from August 26th to 29th 1997.  

   This First Workshop will cover all aspects related to
EGS4 including the improvements to EGS4 and the applications
of EGS4 to various fields.  Presentations of general topics 
on Monte Carlo calculations are also welcome.

   If you plan to present a paper at the First International
Workshop on EGS4 or to attend this workshop , please fill out 
the attached form and send it to Hideo Hirayama at KEK 
(hideo.hirayama@kek.jp).     
   The abstract of the paper must be sent to Hideo Hirayama
by the end of February 1997.

There are not many Guest Houses for foreign visitors in KEK.  
They are mainly used for invited scientists who stay relatively 
long time.  Therefore we reserve rooms at the hotel near the 
center of Tsukuba city.  A bus will be operated from the hotel 
to KEK.  The price of a room is \7,210 for single and \12,700 
for twin including a tax and service charge.   If you want 
to use this hotel, please write it also on the attached form.
Detail information for the hotel reservation will be required 
later.  

Rooms in Guest Houses for short visitors to KEK are  possible 
to reserve.  Only single room with shower are available and they
are not as comfortable as the Hotel but are inexpensive 
(less than \1,000 per night).
