Research Activities of Radiation Shielding Group

Radiation shielding group is carrying out the following researches concerning the high energy accelerator shielding and behavior of radiations inside materials with the scientists at university and JAERI.

Improvement of the electromagnetic shower Monte Carlo code, EGS which is developped with the collaboration between SLAC, KEK and UM and various researches using EGS.
Improvement of PHTS code and various researches using PHITS .
Researches related High energy accelerator shielding
Researches using synchrotron light source concerning Scattering and dosimetry of low energy photons
