Purchasing or bringing in chemicals into the KEK site
An approval is required for purchasing or bringing in chemicals into the KEK site. All chemicals should be stored at the specified exclusive lockers or storages (List 1). You should manage them on your own responsibility.
Toxic chemicals should be stored in metal lockers under lock and key. You should attach bar-code labels, which are supplied by the Environmental Safety Office, on the bottles. You should occasionally check the amount of chemicals stored there. Chemical experiments creating liquid wastes should be carried out at the specified chemistry laboratories which have storage tanks for washing-water exhausted from the sink. (List 2) Chemical experiments accompanied with harmful gasses should be carried out at the specified chemistry laboratories where an exhausting system is installed. (List 2)
Liquid wastes should be separately collected and carried to the Liquid Waste Treatment Station. Classification of waste liquid is shown in List 3.
